From 8 to 17 August, Mönchengladbach became the centre of European hockey. The national teams competed on state-of-the-art Poligras artificial turf – an exciting tournament with many sporting highlights.

The second Slam is about to drop in Miami. The meeting of Grand Slam Track and The Magic City promises to conjure up some of the very best track magic the world has to offer.
After eight successful deployments, Poligras artificial turf will also be used for hockey at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. With each edition of the Games, Poligras sets new standards in terms of playing performance and sustainability – from innovative bio-materials to reduced water consumption. The latest generation of the turf is currently being developed and will soon be available from Polytan in Germany.

With our recycling initiatives, we close the loop and enable the environmentally friendly recycling of our sports floors. For us, the job does not ends with the installation of the track or the production of synthetic turf. Sustainability also means longevity. Even sports surfaces require proper maintenance to function optimally over the long term. That's why we offer our customers comprehensive support throughout the entire lifecycle of a sports surface through the Polytan Service Company – whether it's for repairs or wet and dry cleaning. Even the best artificial turf eventually reaches the end of its life and needs to be removed. At this statge, Polytan’s sister company FormaTurf steps in to recycle the used turf.

In August 2025, Europe's hockey world looked to Mönchengladbach: at the European Championships on home turf in Germany's largest hockey stadium, equipped with Poligras artificial turf, the best national teams competed in a tournament full of emotion, excitement and top sporting performances.
From August 1–3, 2025, France’s top athletes will meet in Talence for the national outdoor championships—competing on a Rekortan PUR track by Polytan.

At 19 years old, Kathi is a promising talent in German athletics. Her disciplines: the 400 and 800 m. She loves pushing herself to her limits. Polytan has known Kathi since she was a child, as her grandfather significantly shaped the company's rise over many years. Currently, she trains at TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
Jule Bleuel is a young, emerging German hockey player who has captured the hearts of hockey fans with her exceptional talent and passion for the sport. Her performances as a full-back and in defensive midfield have not only earned her recognition but also an invitation to the German national hockey team.
Moritz Ludwig is an emerging German national hockey player who has already attracted significant attention at a young age and celebrated the World Championship title with the German team in India 2023. With his exceptional talent, energy, and ambition, he has quickly established himself as a promising force in German hockey. Currently, Moritz plays for HTC Uhlenhorst.
Mica Witthüser is considered one of the great young talents in German padel sports. His passion for padel is palpable. His big dream is to one day compete for medals in padel for Germany at the Olympic Games. To fulfill this dream, Mica is on the padel court almost daily, training his strokes and fitness.
Patrick Schneider is a German athlete specializing in the 400-meter run, who has gained attention with strong performances nationally and internationally. As a brand ambassador for Polytan, he not only represents the values of sports but also advocates for the promotion of modern sports field technologies. For years, Patrick has been training with our innovative performance diagnostics tool SMART.
Laura Raquel Müller is one of Germany's most promising young athletes. The 20-year-old long jumper has already won medals in all age categories and dreams of a glittering career on the international stage. With ambition, technique, and the right support, she is pursuing her big goal: the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Ludovic Besson is considered one of the hopefuls of French athletics in the decathlon. He first gainedworldwide attention in 2015 when he set new personal bests in seven disciplinesat the World Championships for 16- and 17-year-olds in Colombia. With a time of 4:59.38 minutes in the 1,500-meter middle distance, he also broke the French decathlon record and became vice world champion.
