With the first straight monofilaments in a football turfsystem, LigaTurf initiated a true revolution in the artificial turf market. Whileit has often been imitated it has never been duplicated. Polytan’s LigaTurfremains one of the most frequently FIFA-certified football turf systems in theworld. A new milestone is the world’s first CO2-neutral artificial turf,LigaTurf Cross GT zero.
Polytan and Green Technology go hand in hand. Our eco-friendly label represents all our sustainable activities and products that embody this ethos have the abbreviation GT in their name. At Polytan, we take many approaches on our quest for a greener planet. Initially, for example, we focused on products made from plastics with a high proportion of renewable raw materials, but are increasingly shifting to the use of recyclates as they gain prominence.

Depending on the sport and desired playing characteristics, artificial turf systems can be equipped with different typesof infill. We offer systems filled with quartz sand; sand and elastic infill granules; or sand and cork/ other natural materials. The infill ensures an authentic playing experience, grip and traction for quick tempo and directional changes, clean ball-rolling behaviour, and high player protection.
