Big fun on small playing areas: High-quality pitches for compact spaces, fully equipped with artificial turf systems or synthetic surfaces, goals, boards, and ball-catching nets – this is the concept behind mini playing fields. With the complete soccer court systems we offer, new standards have been set in terms of quality, safety, and functionality. Emerging from the DFB initiative “1,000 Mini Pitches for Germany” launched in 2007, Polytan has been a partner and general contractor for the construction of mini pitches from the very beginning.

Base
The perfect base for perfect play conditions: a Polytan elastic layer for the artificial turf is laid on the substructure provided by the customer in accordance with DIN 18035, while foundations for perimeterstability are also installed. This achieves the necessary shock absorption for improved safety protection, especially of the joints. Unlike hard gravel pitches, poorly maintained natural grass pitches, or street play on asphalt, the mini pitches provide health benefits while offering enhanced comfort and agreeable running characteristics, as well as “soft” landings during falls or fouls. Thanks to the elastic layer, superior shock absorption and maximum playing enjoyment are guaranteed, ensuring a high-quality, durable football experience.

Our PolyPlay Arena Soccer Courts are most commonly fitted with a textured synthetic turf system, such as LigaGrass Pro GT or LigaGrass Synergy R. These are often delivered as sand-filled or sand-cork-filled variants. Both turf types are suitable for multifunctional use at municipal facilities, being highly durable and easy to maintain. The German Football Association also chose Polytan’s textured LigaGrass synthetic turf for its “1,000 Mini Pitches for Germany” initiative in 2007.

Barriers & Accessories
The standard pitch features soundproof perimeter boards measuring 1m in height, with additional 2m-high nets behind both goals. The playing field can also be fully enclosed with side and overhead nets. By selling advertising space on the barriers, you can generate income to help refinance the mini pitch. We are also happy to advise you on various floodlight systems that allow use of the sports facility at any time of day.

Synthetic turf also offers an ideal area for presenting club emblems or logos of sponsors and advertising partners. Whether at the edge of the pitch or directly on it, integrating multicolour logos is guaranteed to attract attention and is a very persuasive argument when acquiring sponsors!

In addition to the classic Soccer Court, which is built from scratch with foundations, elastic layers, and synthetic turf, we also offer a version of the PolyPlay Arena that does not require ground foundations and can be used on existing surfaces. Supplemented by our high-performing synthetic surfaces, our mini-pitches are also suitable for sports such as basketball, handball, badminton, volleyball, or hockey.

All mini pitches and soccer courts are available in various standard sizes as well as in customised special sizes and colours. Our robust boards, as well as goals and behind-the-goal netting, are included in the scope of delivery and can be supplemented with side and roof nets if required. We install all mini pitches on a turnkey basis. Furthermore, a wide range of special equipment is available, e.g. for basketball, volleyball and other sports, as well as high-quality LED floodlight systems for use in the evening hours.

When it comes to safety, there is no compromise. All PolyPlay Arena mini pitches meet the DIN EN 15312 standard for freely accessible multisport equipment and offer the highest level of safety for young players and old alike. Many of the products on offer are internationally certified.
