Cork is a natural, renewable raw material that is also suitable as infill for synthetic turf fields. It has good cushioning properties and is applied to a sand layer. The odourless material is obtained from the bark of the cork oak tree and is 100% biodegradable. Cork is a lightweight infill so it’s important to choose a fibre structure that will optimally hold the infill in place, thereby significantly reducing displacement and maintenance efforts. Polytan offers a variety of certified synthetic turf systems with smooth, textured, or combined filaments that provide excellent playability with sand and cork.
