Perfect grip, optimal cushioning — Polytan tennis surfaces offer ideal playing conditions for every surface. Whether sand, turf or acrylic — for any playing pace and top performance on the pitch!
The success story of modern tennis began in 1877 at Wimbledon, when the rules of the game were established during the first tennis tournament. The physical and mental demands of tennis are immense – Grand Slam matches regularly exceed the 5-hour mark, testing players’ patience, fitness, and mental strength. Technically, the sport is also highly demanding, and different tennis surfaces significantly impact the character of the game. Tennis has become a popular sport worldwide, with courts featuring specially designed tennis surfaces. Polytan offers high-quality acrylic sports surfaces and artificial turf for tennis courts. Among the many different tennis court surfaces, clay, grass, carpet, and concrete have established themselves globally. Surface characteristics such as ball bounce, speed, cushioning, or the ability to slide vary significantly. Tradition and climate also influence surface choices. In Europe, clay courts, as well as natural and artificial turf, are preferred, while acrylic sports surface systems are common in North America and Australia.

Depending on the sport and desired playing characteristics, artificial turf systems can be equipped with different typesof infill. We offer systems filled with quartz sand; sand and elastic infill granules; or sand and cork/ other natural materials. The infill ensures an authentic playing experience, grip and traction for quick tempo and directional changes, clean ball-rolling behaviour, and high player protection.
