LigaTurf Cross R at the municipal stadium, Nidzica, Poland
Sustainable and FIFA-certified
The town of Nidzica in the Warmian-Masurian voivodeship of Poland is investing heavily in the expansion of its sports facilities: in the summer of 2022, an entire complex was built at the vocational and comprehensive school, featuring various surfaces from Polytan. In addition to a multipurpose field, the complex includes a football field with an adjacent sprinting track, a long jump pit, a tennis court, and a streetball court.
To our delight, a Polytan surface was once again chosen for yet another sports complex at the municipal stadium in Nidzica in September 2023. It is the first large synthetic turf pitch in the entire voivodeship. The surface chosen for installation was our LigaTurf Cross R – in our opinion, the best proof that top-level football can be well and truly sustainable, thanks to the recycled content in the filaments. Since the surface is both extremely robust and as low-maintenance as fully textured synthetic turf, it is the perfect solution for the busy professional training facilities of amateur and professional clubs alike, as well as sports colleges. An added bonus for us and its users: the new synthetic turf pitch in Nidzica is certified by global football association FIFA and has passed all the required tests for the FIFA Quality PRO certificate. It is the ninth playing field in Poland to receive this certification.
The synthetic turf at the municipal stadium is primarily used by the football club MKS Start Nidzica, which places a special emphasis on developing young talent: no less than 15 children’s and youth teams are represented at the Akademię Startu Nidzica!
The pitch was realised by, Panorama Obiekty Sportowe, a company that specialises in the planning and construction of sports facilities on the Polish market.
