Sustainable artificial turf with a high recycled content

The small community of Theix-Noyalo is located in southern Brittany not far from the Atlantic coast. Oyster farming, fishing and agriculture determine the everyday life of the almost 10,000 inhabitants. Holidaymakers explore the numerous beaches, bays, the Wadden Sea, moors and forests. They like to be inspired by the Breton traditions, which are shown at many festivals today, as well as by the numerous remains of Stone Age megalithic cultures with their dolmens and other stone formations — Obelix sends his regards.

In the Complexe Sportif de Brestivan, the club supports Avenir Association Theix off his home games. The stadium can accommodate 2,500 spectators, partly covered in a stand, and has a total of three soccer fields. We will have the main draw in summer 2023 with our LigaTurf Cross R equipped. This synthetic turf with a high recycled content combines the playing properties of natural grass with our advanced technologies, which make it as robust and easy to maintain as a fully textured artificial turf. To do this, it combines smooth and textured filaments from recycled raw materials and thus combines the advantages of both fiber types. By using smooth filaments, the LigaTurf Cross R also has the look and feel of natural grass.

Thanks to the textured filaments, easy and reduced maintenance is guaranteed, as well as better stabilization of the infill and more turf volume. The LigaTurf Cross R is generally an ideal solution for intensive professional training facilities, amateur and professional clubs and sports schools. Because of the recycled content in the filaments, the LigaTurf Cross R is also impressively sustainable.

Our LigaTurf Cross R also proves in Theix-Noyalo, France, that soccer on modern artificial turf can certainly be environmentally friendly. In addition to Avenir Association Theix players, it will also be used by numerous youth teams from the local and surrounding area. It was installed by our French partner Pigeon TP.
