At the EuroHockey Championships 2025 in Mönchengladbach, Europe's best national teams will compete on a turf system that combines top-level performance with cutting-edge sustainability. Poligras Paris GT zero, developed by Polytan, marks a new benchmark for international hockey infrastructure.
From August 8 to 17, 2025, Europe’s best national field hockey teams will compete for the title at SparkassenPark in Mönchengladbach — and once again, the tournament will be played on a Polytan system. As part of our long-standing partnership with the German Hockey Federation (DHB), Polytan is supplying the Poligras Paris GT zero turf for the EuroHockey Championships 2025.
Following its Olympic debut at Paris 2024, the carbon-neutral Paris GT zero system will now set new standards at one of the continent’s most prestigious international field hockey tournaments.
Poligras Paris GT zero is Polytan’s most advanced hockey turf to date. Developed under our Green Technology program, the surface consists of more than 80% renewable raw materials — primarily sugar cane — and is manufactured using a carbon-neutral process.
“By using Paris GT zero at EuroHockey 2025, we’re reinforcing our conviction that world-class performance and environmental responsibility can — and must — go hand in hand,” says Friedemann Söll, Chief Product Officer at Sport Group. “For us, this is not just about product innovation, but about helping shape the future of international sport in a sustainable direction.”
Combining speed, precision, and durability, Paris GT zero delivers the qualities required for elite international hockey events — while reducing environmental impact.
Polytan’s collaboration with the DHB is more than a traditional supplier agreement — it’s a strategic alliance built on innovation and shared values. In addition to equipping top-tier venues, the partnership supports development initiatives such as the Next Generation Athletes program, which promotes young field hockey talent across Germany.
Together, we are helping to elevate the sport — on and off the field.
As the host of the 2006 Hockey World Cup and EuroHockey 2023, SparkassenPark in Mönchengladbach has earned its reputation as one of Europe’s premier hockey venues. In 2025, it once again welcomes the continent’s best athletes — this time on a turf system designed to meet the highest demands of performance and sustainability.
Both the main pitch and training areas are equipped with Polytan systems, ensuring optimal playing conditions for athletes and organizers alike.
Polytan’s role in EuroHockey 2025 is part of a broader mission: to provide high-performance, climate-responsible sports infrastructure for the future of field hockey. Whether at the Olympic Games, national competitions, or community clubs, Poligras Paris GT zero is setting the standard for modern hockey surfaces around the world.
As demand grows for environmentally responsible solutions, Polytan continues to lead — delivering innovation without compromise.
