Renovation of the Germain Bournac Sports Centre in Générac with sustainable Polytan Turf

The town of Générac has comprehensively modernised the Germain Bournac sports centre, choosing high-quality and sustainable sports surfacing systems from Polytan. Working together with our partners Laquet and Lautrec–Moussac, all infrastructure works were completed first, followed by the installation of the new synthetic turf systems by Polytan. At the heart of the renovation is an exceptionally eco-friendly and durable system solution:

• PolyBase GT elastic layer, installed in situ, made from 92% recycled materials and fully recyclabl
• LigaTurf Cross R 235 18/8, a modern synthetic turf with recycled content in the fibres and fully
• BrockFILL, a bio-based wood infill providing a natural playing sensation

This combination offers a highly sustainable, robust and sport-functionally outstanding system, developed specifically for intensive training and match play. Local clubs and schools now benefit from optimal training conditions, excellent weather resistance and consistently high surface quality. With this project, the town of Générac showcases how top-level sports performance, environmental responsibility and long service life can go hand in hand.
