The southern French university city of Aix en Provence is home to Lycée Militaire, one of six secondary military schools in France. Its own sports facility, the Stade Gangloff, is located directly adjacent to the boarding school grounds. In March last year, Polytan started a complete renovation of the facility. Since October, the Stade Gangloff has hosted, among other things, an athletics track, a separate sprint track, and a long jump area. In addition, students now have the opportunity to participate in team sports such as volleyball and basketball on the newly designed multisport area. Polytan's economically efficient all-round solution, the new Rekortan BS synthetic surface, shines in sky blue to match the students' school uniforms. Aix en Provence is located north of Marseille. The boarding school's long history dates back to 1875, when General von Cissey ordered the establishment of military schools during the Third Republic, including the high school in Aix. It was not until 1946 that the Lycée Militaire d'Aix-en-Provence, as the successor to previous military schools, moved to its current location, although it bore a different name at the time. Today, more than 800 boys and girls gather at the school to pursue their studies.
