Stade Desroys du Roure, Évry-Courcouronnes, France

The comprehensive redevelopment of Stade Desroys du Roure has transformed the facility into a modern sports hub for clubs, schools and community sports in Évry-Courcouronnes. As part of the approximately €2 million refurbishment project, Polytan, in collaboration with Eurovia, installed a 400 m Rekortan M 13 mm athletics track and a state-of-the-art LigaTurf Cross R artificial football pitch on an in-situ elastic layer with cork infill in 2024. The turf system combines outstanding sporting performance with sustainability, featuring fibres made with 20% recycled content and a bio-based performance infill.

Together with the upgraded infrastructure, the project has created a versatile sports complex that can be used year-round, providing excellent training and playing conditions for the city's approximately 13,000 active sports participants. The project was commissioned by the City of Évry-Courcouronnes, with Sport Initiatives acting as the project manager.
