With the redevelopment of the Røyslimoen sports ground in Lillehammer, the municipality has invested in a future-ready football facility designed to serve the whole community. Covering 7,480 m², the new pitch features LigaTurf Trion installed over an elastic shockpad – a modern non-infill system built to withstand intensive use across club football, school sport and recreational activities.

A Community Football Pitch for Clubs, Schools and Local Residents

Røyslimoen is home to Roterud IL and is used regularly for training sessions and competitive matches. At the same time, the facility plays an important role for the neighbouring school, providing a dedicated space for PE lessons, break-time activities and everyday exercise.

Beyond organised sport and school hours, the pitch remains open to the wider public, giving local residents access to a high-quality sports facility throughout the day.

As a result, the venue is in constant use from morning until evening, making it a valuable asset for the entire Lillehammer community.

With such a broad range of users, the new playing surface needed to meet demanding performance requirements. The municipality was looking for a system capable of handling intensive use while delivering consistent playing characteristics year-round.

Combined with the elastic shockpad, the system offers excellent comfort underfoot, reliable shock absorption and consistent performance – whether it is being used by young players, club teams or school groups.
