With the opening of O² Surftown MUC, an extraordinary venue has emerged in  Hallbergmoos near Munich, bringing together sporting innovation, leisure and sustainability. Polytan has also played a role in creating the modern surfing facility with its 10,000 m² pool – a highlight in the state capital. In the middle of Bavaria and far from the sea, O² Surftown MUC makes real surfing possible thanks to state-of-the-art technology and a holistic sustainability concept.

This concept also includes our high-quality synthetic turf system, LigaTurf Trion R. Around the heart of the complex, the impressive wave pool, recreation and adventure areas have been equipped with our unfilled synthetic turf. As a facility designed for sporting activities, relaxation, and other events, the LigaTurf Trion R ensures a pleasant, natural-looking environment with optimum comfort all year round.

The TriColour surface looks extremely natural, while a combination of textured and straight filaments ensures high stability and durability. The turf is not only a visual highlight, but also stands out thanks to its sustainability: in keeping with the environmentally conscious philosophy of the entire facility, the fibres used are mostly made of recycled materials.
