LigaTurf RS+ at the Municipal Stadium Sianów, Poland

The Polish town of Sianów is located in the Kashubian Switzerland, a hilly forest and lake landscape near Gdańsk. The Kashubians have lived here for over a thousand years, preserving their own language and traditions. The sanctuary with the Marian statue in Sianów is a destination for Kashubian pilgrims, and tourists in the region can feel the deep connection to nature and hospitality. Visitors can enjoy active recreation through hiking, cycling, horseback riding, or boating. For those seeking even more activity, the Municipal Stadium Sianów is the place to be. It was completely renovated: the two natural grass pitches have been renewed, along with the grandstand accommodating over 1,000 spectators, a spacious commentator’s box, new changing rooms, and sanitary facilities. The centerpiece of the renovation project was the new training pitch with synthetic turf and floodlights. It now enables high-frequency play throughout the year. The facility is used by the football players of Victoria Sianów and the women’s football team of Victoria SP2 Sianów. The new football pitch was built by Panorama Obiekty Sportowe, featuring our highly durable LigaTurf RS+ synthetic turf system. The turf is particularly resilient and long-lasting thanks to the specific ratio of fiber width and thickness, which also enables the fibers to upright themselves after use. Consequently, we have further developed this proven synthetic turf system: the LigaTurf RS+ R filaments now include a PCR recycling component, meeting modern sustainability requirements and certified via the ISCC mass balance approach. For a holistic sports experience, running, skating, and cycling paths are being built around the stadium in Sianów. Meanwhile, with the new synthetic turf pitch and floodlights, athletes can already train and host competitions anytime.
