Mühlenbergstadion receives new running track

The athletics track at Mühlenbergstadion in Wipperfürth was recently renovated, with the heavily used sprint section in particular requiring urgent renewal. The synthetic surface Rekortan PUR was installed. The rest of the circular track was less worn, allowing for a re-topping solution, meaning only the surface layer was renewed. With this sustainable method, old surfaces can be technically and visually refurbished without the need for extensive removal and disposal. The existing surface is simply reused as a base layer. This not only reduces costs but also supports the environment, as virtually no waste is generated. For the surface, Rekortan M-RT was chosen.
