The professional solution for mini fields

The community of Bötzingen in the South Baden region offers its sports enthusiasts a new, versatile facility that also boasts innovative technology. The 20 by 13-meter mini field can be used in three different ways. In addition to youth soccer goals, the facility also includes basketball hoops and a height-adjustable volleyball net. Our all-purpose surface PolyPlay S was installed. The multi-colored line markings accommodate all sports. With the PolyPlay Arena, a system is being used for the first time that opens up new possibilities in many ways. Polytan developed this board system in collaboration with its technical partner, FUNTEC Sports GmbH. The system stands out due to a significantly reduced number of components, excellent ease of maintenance, and simple expandability.

The 100-millimeter-wide board elements (standard is 40 to 50 millimeters) offer optimal noise reduction and maximum stability for use ranging from municipal recreational sports to professional applications. Together with Polytan’s highly durable sports surfaces, these facilities achieve very long life cycles – a modern approach and a clear commitment to sustainability. Another advantage is the high proportion of recycled materials.FUNTEC CEO Ralf Esser: “With the PolyPlay Arena, we once again developed a product that sets new industry standards in technology and quality.” The outer shell of the sandwich panels consists of galvanized and powder-coated steel, while the interior features high-strength PUR foam. The connecting and corner posts are made of drawn aluminum, reinforced with steel inlays at highly stressed areas. Furthermore, the PolyPlay Arena is the only complete system on the market with continuous TÜV certification for all module sizes in combination with all extensions and add-ons (e.g., volleyball posts or basketball hoops, etc.).
