Professional Training at the Foot of the Alps

The municipality of Hausham is located right at the foothills of the Alps in the Schlierach Valley. Lake Tegernsee is less than 10 km away, and the Huberspitz is considered the local mountain. One of Hausham's landmarks is the still-standing headframe of the long-closed pitch coal mine. In its vicinity lies the Central Sports Facility, Hausham – the home of the Sports Association Hausham 01 e.V.. It covers the sporting activities of its members among the 9,000 residents and offers, in addition to skiing in winter, sections for soccer, tennis, and table tennis as well as gymnastics, athletics, and volleyball. In the spring of 2023, we equipped the circular track of the sports facility with a Rekortan AS GT track surface in brick red. This water-permeable system is not only a genuine alternative to conventional poured coatings but – as a water-based spray coating – also another environmentally friendly running track product in our Polytan Green Technology portfolio. As a running track surface, the Rekortan AS GT not only meets all requirements for competition tracks and multi-purpose facilities but can also be installed particularly quickly and thus cost-effectively. In addition to the circular track itself, we also designed the integrated sprint track with Rekortan AS, as well as the run-up tracks for various jumping and throwing disciplines. In long jump, in the sprint area, and in two of the four circular tracks, we additionally installed Polytan SMART – our advanced system for digital measurement and documentation of training performance. The Polytan SMART system in Hausham consists of timing gates permanently integrated into the tracks. Recreational athletes can use the system with their own smartphones and the Smart Run by Humotion app. The app precisely captures all relevant parameters via the SMART timing gates. Alternatively, a wireless Bluetooth sensor weighing only 15 g can be used. Combined with the SmarTracks Diagnostics Software, all data is clearly displayed and analyzed on a laptop. This enables assessments such as mobility tests, jump tests, endurance evaluations, and sprint tests. Polytan SMART is suitable for precise performance diagnostics, whether for individual athletes or entire teams. The integrated timing gates in the tracks are always available for precise time measurements – in any weather and for multiple athletes simultaneously.
