Rekortan PUR Indoor in the athletics hall at the Arena Sports Park Düsseldorf

The athletics hall at the Arena Sports Park is the largest sports hall in Düsseldorf. It features a pole vault and high jump facility, as well as three long jump facilities. Additional facilities include training areas for discus and hammer throws, javelin throwing, and a shot put area. Furthermore, a 200 m circular track and a 110 m indoor sprint track are located within the oval. For both running tracks, we installed our Rekortan PUR Indoor flooring in brick red, a robust synthetic surface designed for personal bests and records in international elite sports. The indoor sprint track was applied at a thickness of 15 mm on a wooden subfloor, while the circular track is 13 mm thick and laid on a reinforced concrete base.Thanks to the combination of an elastic base layer and robust construction, the indoor variant of Rekortan PUR also provides perfect conditions for professional athletes. The embedded EPDM granules in the wear layer make this high-speed synthetic flooring ideal for spiked running shoes, enabling exceptional acceleration. Since Rekortan PUR Indoor meets stringent indoor emission limits, it is particularly suited for athletics halls such as the one in Düsseldorf. In the shot put area, however, Rekortan PUR Indoor is installed without embedded granules and with specific shock-absorbing properties tailored to its requirements. All other spaces within the circular track are equipped with Rekortan M Indoor in brick red or celadon green. In Düsseldorf, up to 1,200 spectators can enjoy the atmosphere from two extendable grandstands. The hall is mainly used as a state performance center for athletics and hosts numerous events during the winter season, particularly athletics tournaments. The athletics hall at the Arena Sports Park Düsseldorf serves numerous top-level and recreational athletes in their daily training routine. It is also available to Düsseldorf schools, clubs, and recreational athletes. Under the motto "Sport for All," the hall offers an attractive exercise program for all sports enthusiasts.
