Polytan GmbH and Padel Arena Kamen have entered into a groundbreaking partnership that aims to sustainably promote padel sports in Germany. The collaboration focuses on modernizing courts, supporting young talents, and working together on inclusion and sustainability initiatives.
Polytan GmbH and Padel Arena Kamen are pleased to announce their partnership, which started in September 2023. This collaboration was officially launched during the first inclusion tournament of the Special Olympics Team North Rhine-Westphalia at the Padel Arena facility in Kamen. As part of this event, the Special Olympics team athletes were already equipped with new Polytan jerseys. Two employees of Polytan GmbH actively participated in the tournament, further highlighting the start of this collaboration.
Oliver Witt, operator of Padel Arena Kamen, is enthusiastic about the partnership: "The collaboration with Polytan is a great asset for us. The positive feedback from our customers on the new Polytan Padel system speaks for itself. After the first court was equipped with the innovative Laykold Padel ET (sub-base for the padel turf), all players preferred this court.
For this reason, it was a natural decision to convert the second court as well." Polytan places great importance on working closely with athletes and facility operators during product development – whether for turf, sub-bases, or courts. "Only direct interaction with players and court operators enables the creation of the best possible padel court systems. The extensive exchange with the Padel Arena in Kamen is a central part of this philosophy," says Alexander Wörz, product manager for Polytan's padel division. Together, Padel Arena Kamen and Polytan GmbH pursue the goal of developing and promoting padel sports in Germany. A particular focus is placed on fostering young talent. As part of this, Polytan will now also support Mica Witthüser, a promising young padel player who grew up in Padel Arena Kamen, as the company's brand ambassador. Both partners are equally committed to inclusion and sustainability, as demonstrated by their joint support of the Special Olympics Team of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Since the start of the partnership, Padel Arena Kamen has carried the official name "Polytan Padel Arena in Kamen." All existing courts have already been equipped with the innovative Laykold Padel ET – a sub-base specifically designed for padel sports, offering an excellent alternative to traditional sub-base construction such as asphalt or concrete. Additional courts are planned, where the entire courts, including the sub-base, will be installed by Polytan.
Polytan is one of the world's leading providers of sports flooring solutions, developing innovative and sustainable products that meet the highest standards. Padel Arena Kamen is one of Germany's top facilities for padel sports, known for its first-class courts and excellent training opportunities. Both partners benefit from their active exchange aimed at optimizing products and the quality of courts in Kamen. This partnership on equal footing sustainably strengthens padel sports in Germany.
