In a place where history is usually made, the ball was in play for three days: right in the heart of the Place de la Concorde, one of the world’s most famous squares was transformed into a vibrant meeting place for football fans. Set against a backdrop of impressive architecture and urban flair, Polytan’s PolyPlay Arena GT created a space where people came together to play and experience the thrill of football first-hand.
The mini pitch was created as part of the FIFA Arena Project – a global initiative aimed at creating modern, freely accessible football pitches, particularly in urban areas, thereby enabling more people worldwide to access the sport.
Children and young people were at the heart of the action – with beaming faces, spontaneous matches and unforgettable moments on the pitch. International guests, coaches and football personalities made the event a real experience and demonstrated how unifying sport can be – regardless of background, age or ability.
The implementation was just as impressive as the location: within just three days, the entire soccer court was erected and integrated into the extraordinary surroundings. The dismantling after the event was just as efficient – the mini-court, complete with its modular perimeter system, was put into storage and will be retained as a mobile court system for future use.
The project thus symbolises a new generation of sports facilities: flexible, sustainable and deployable wherever people come together and want to experience physical activity.

The foundation was the PolyPlay Arena GT, specifically designed for such temporary installations. The 40 x 20 m playing surface features a modular system of FormaTurf Flexblock wall bricks – made from recycled artificial turf materials and designed for maximum robustness and durability.
The LigaGrass Synergy R artificial turf, used in combination with ShockPad mats, ensures a natural, dynamic playing experience and a high level of comfort for the players. The perimeter boards, clad with printed aluminium composite panels, create visual highlights and provide space for eye-catching messages – ideal for events in urban settings. Complemented by precision-finished aluminium edging, the result is a high-quality, well-designed complete system that perfectly combines functionality and design.
