Recycling at Polytan
We want to make the future of sports more sustainable. That’s why we are constantly working on environmentally friendly solutions, and on minimising the use of fossil raw materials in our synthetic turf portfolio over the long term. Our GT Recycled products bring us one step closer to this goal, turf by turf.
Upcycling over waste
We already convert recycled plastic from industrial operations into capital goods by incorporating it into our synthetic turf. The PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) material we use is single-use packaging film that we breathe new life into by turning it into synthetic playing surfaces that last for 12 to 15 years.
The smart way of recycling
We consciously use mechanically recycled material rather than chemically recycled material.
What is mechanical recycling?
Certified sustainable
The use of recycled materials in our products has been verified by the International Sustainability & Carbon Certificate (ISCC), awarded based on the mass balance approach. The ISCC has become the established certification scheme for organic and recycled materials in the energy, food, feed and chemicals sectors.
