The Hockeypark is located in the Nordpark in Mönchengladbach in the direct neighborhood of the Borussia-Park. In 2006 the men's field hockey world championship took place here. The stadium was completed in 2005 and offers space for up to 12,000 spectators. For this year's FIH Pro League, the artificial turf was renewed and equipped with Poligras Tokyo GT. After the Crefeld HTC, the SparkassenHockeypark was the second sports facility in Germany to receive the Poligras Tokyo GT - the first artificial hockey turf made from 60% renewable raw materials.
